Child Safety Matters is a program that is used to teach students K-6 about being safe. It covers a variety of safety topics such as bullying, strangers, and abuse. We have used it the past 2 years here at Oasis and the students have learned a great deal from it. The lessons included in the program keep the students engaged and are age appropriate. We will begin using this program in November during scheduled guidance classes. All parents will be informed prior to the lessons being taught and parents will also have the option to "opt out" if they do not wish for their child to be present during the lessons.
